Terms of Use
Last updated: June 13, 2026
Free to use
Free Video Compressor is free to use, including for commercial projects. There’s no account, no watermark, and no usage cap beyond your own device’s capability.
Provided “as is”
The tool is provided without warranty. Because compression runs on your device, results and speed depend on your hardware, browser and the input file. Very large files can exceed browser memory and fail. Always keep your original until you’ve checked the compressed result.
Your content is your responsibility
You are solely responsible for the videos you compress and for having the rights to them. Since files are never uploaded, we never receive or review your content.
Open-source engine
Compression is powered by FFmpeg compiled to WebAssembly. FFmpeg is licensed under its respective open-source licenses by its authors; this site is not affiliated with the FFmpeg project.
Changes
We may update these terms as the tool evolves. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
